Guys, this was Villa de Leyva and our experience…
Villa de Leyva tourism
It was a Colombian-style getaway, very close to Bogotá (where we live) , a place that preserves a colonial culture, the vast majority of people live off tourism in Villa de Leyva; a municipality of cobblestone streets that make you want to tour on horseback (which we actually did) . Our goal was always to not stay in the square of Villa de Leyva, something that is common among tourists, but rather to make friends in the area. We played BoliRana while we had a couple of beers with the inhabitants of the municipality, we rode a four-wheeler and skidded on the arid desert, we also stepped in puddles that left us completely muddy (which was great) . Finally, a walk through blue wells and the terracotta house, a fully habitable home, created from mud. In this way we realized that the wonderful thing about this place "Villa de Leyva" is not only in its landscape but in the people who welcomed us and kindly taught us and told us each story of their beloved municipality, the invitation is to travel and know, experience and take from each place a unique story and memory.
