A house made entirely of clay, built by the architect Octavio Mendoza , this architectural site occupies five hundred square meters in Villa de Leyva and its doors are open to the public, so if you are in the municipality, this is a plan that you should not miss. You can arrive by horse (horseback riding recommended), car and even on foot. This is a construction project that, according to its creator, “turns the earth into habitable architecture.” The amazing thing is that they are always doing repairs, because the walking of tourists causes the house to crack, so you will be able to see what the reconstruction and baking process is like, if you manage to visit the terracotta house on one of the repair days.
