Graffiti Tour commune 13 of Medellin
Graffiti and history tour
This is the result of evolution, of persevering to change the image of a society stigmatized by events that happened in the past. The inhabitants of this commune decided to change the image in the eyes of those who visit them, now coming here is synonymous with culture, art, joy and the bravery that identifies the paisas!
The graffiti tour experience: We met at the San Antonio station at around 10 am and walked to the 13th commune of Medellin, along with 20 people and a guide who told us about the history of Medellin from the 60s to the present day and how the communes were formed in the highest parts of the city, where it was forbidden to live… We also learned the history of each of the graffiti in this place and the artists. We ate mango ice cream with salt and typical empanadas of the place, something you can't miss. In the end, we realized that the people of this commune have a lot to show. Art, dance and a neighborhood full of color that tells a story of overcoming and peace on every corner. This is a notebook that brings together all our experiences in Medellin, click to learn more .
